Spasm Type Behavior in otherwise healthy 2 yr old girl

I have been quite concerned for some time about my recently two year old daughter's hand flapping accompanied by wide eyes, mouth in O formation.  Sorry, this is my best way to describe.  She does this usually whn excited, but I have noticed during the bath, during diaper changes.  She just seems stuck for a few seconds where she flaps her hand and if sitting will stiffen her legs.  Her face has a very "surprised" look.  She can easily be distracted and stopped - so I am pretty sure she is not haveing any kind of seizure.  Pediatrician has assured me that it is not autism.  She is very "normal" aside from this.  Any thoughts - we are awaiting an appointment with a Pediatric Nuerologist - but I would love some input!

This discussion is related to 4 yr old hands twist, stiffen and flap when excited - involuntary muscle movemen.

My two year old son exhibits the same kind of behavior that you are describing.  We have seen a Pediatric Nuerologist and so far he believes it to be normal childhood behavior though he hasn't seen the video that we are making for him yet.  I was just wondering what your doctor said.  Thank you.
