Tics are rapid uncontrolled movements. Throat clearing and eye blinking are most common tics. Tics are commonly seen when a person is excited, stressed or nervous.
Tourette’s syndrome is a type of tic disorder. It usually starts in children between the age group of 3 -10 years.
Most tics go away by themselves after a few months. There are medications available for persistent tics. Please consult your child’s pediatrician about them.
Take care!
