new to PVCs

by cgodfree, Aug 12, 2008 12:39PM
4 wks ago I went to the ER because I was having so many PVCs (all of a sudden) that I thought I better get it checked out, my MD couldnt see me, told me to go to the ER.  In ER they found inverted Twave on my EKG and had an echo that was normal, nuclear stress test showed some ischemia.  I am going to cardiologist today to make a plan.  What should I ask and will  I have to live with the PVCs?  Do the PVCs have anything to do with the ichemia or is it coincidental?  They started me on atenolol 50mg in the ER.  I'm very tired all the time, pulse has adjjusted up to 60bpm.  Any words of wisdom is appreciated.

It's kind of like the chicken and the egg...which came first?

What's important is that in the setting of coronary disease or other cardiac anomalies, PVCs can be more siginificant.  It's great that you are seeing cardio and making a plan!!

The atenolol may help with the PVC.

Let us know how you're doing and what you find out from your cardio visit.
