Does anyone know?

FDC
My wife is experiencing a leg problem. She drags her left leg and it is getting worse. She has seen 3 neurologists, had nemerous MRI's, a spinal tap, motor sensory test and tons of blood work done. All has come back negative. Other health problems include, Graves Diseas... [More] e, Diabetes, Sleep Apnea and Manic Depression. Any ideas as to what could be a diagnosis?

Has she had an MRI of the leg she drags? Did they see any bone marrow edema? I was recently diagnosed with that for similar symptoms. Resting, anti-inflammatory herbs and foods help. One of the Dr.'s on this site answered a question that I posted about bone marrow edema. Also this website has more about it: http://www.mayoclinicproceedings.com/inside.asp?AID=939&UID=

Has your wife had an EMG/NCS test done by her neurologist?
Her symptom is a common one for PLS (primary lateral sclerosis), or ALS (Lou Gehrig's Disease).
PLS is a variant of ALS and they are often misdiagnosed one for the other.
PLS only has damage to the upper motor neurons, while ALS has damage to the upper as well as the lower motor neurons.
Hope she finds an answer. It took me 2 years of going to doctors to finally find one that thought it was a neurological problem and sent me to a neurologist. I have been diagnosed with PLS.
