Heh Everyone, up date on sinus surgery

Good Morning. Saw the ENT yesterday for my 2 week checksp on the septoplasty/sinus surgery. The sinus look great, wide open. The septoplaty is only rated good. There is still imparment in the nostril canal, but at this time he doesn't recommend surgery again. Hopefully I can keep from bumping it and making it worse. The baddy is that due to the steroids and antibiotics, I developed a bad case of Oral Thrush. So I got a perscrip to take care of that! 1 pill. Yep, one. I was surprised. When he first diagnosed the chronic sinusitis, I did a round of steroids and a month of antibiotics. I had the same thing happen, Thrush, but didn't realize what it was. I thought it was a reaction to the antibiotic. So now have to correct that on my medical records. Not allergic to the Aricep (I think that was it), just lowered all of my resistance due to immune system deficiency. It happened quicker this time. Wonder if that is going to be a problem when I take antibiotics in future. Now I have to put off having my last wisdom tooth pulled, as they don't want the yeast infection in my blood stream. ENT still going to repeat the Spirometer test in 2 weeks. Thinking COPD instead of allergie now. I have suspected that for awhile, but really don't want to know. Along with eyesight going in my left eye, I may be looking at disability. Yuck.

Hope all are having a good pain free productive day.
Hugs & Prayers, Maggie

It is a continual battle to keep working. Unfortunately I'm not independantly wealthy, LOL. I would like to not work, as I feel better when I don't, but can't afford health insurance without my job. My back felt better after 2 weeks off, but now this morning am in a lot of pain. I couldn't survive being off work financially without SSDI. If I say I'm working, then they say I'm not disabled. But if I stay home, I feel better. I have a lot of things wrong. Taken individually, they aren't too bad, but added all together I really have problems. I will get the Spirometer test in 2 weeks for COPD. If it is positive, I may not have any choice. If I just cruise along at a slow speed, I'm okay. But like yesterday, if I get behind, (I'm a courier) and start to hurry I get extremely short of breath, and my pain flares up big time. I'm also having the eye issue, which really panic's me. Thanks for the thoughts.  How do you survive financially not working?

So glad to hear that the sinuses are wide open!! As for the other I hope surgery is not something you have to look at again down the road. I'm sorry to hear of the thrush, but wow one pill and that is supposed to work? Let me know if it does.

I'm sorry you may be looking at disability, how disheartening. My thoughts and prayers are with you Maggie.
