night grinding

I grind my teeth at night to the point where my dentist is highly suggesting that I purchase an $800 mouth piece to wear while I sleep. I don't have dental insurance and cannot afford this outrageously expensive mouth piece.

What other less expensive, yet effecient, mouth pieces are out there?
