Unprotected Oral Sex

About a month ago I recevied fellatio (unprotected) from a stripper.  It was stupid and something I will never do again.

Five days afterwards, I expereinced a burning sensation in my genitals and urinating more than usual.  I also felt fatigued.  I went to my doctor a week later and he ran a urine test for Chlamydia and Gonorrhea.  He prescibed Cipro while waiting for the results.  While on Cipro I started to become very anxious and nervous.  I also had a few days of mild night sweats (no fever).  I also began having muscle aches.  I stopped taking the Cipro as I was afraid I was having an allergic reaction to it.  Both Chlamydia and Gonorrhea came back negative but, I was still experiencing the burning sensation.

I saw my doctor again (now about 3 weeks after the incident).  He ran a culture for Herpes 1 and 2, and blood test for Syphilis and HIV.  I was really freaked out and he prescribed Klonopin while I was waiting for the results (I was off Cipro).  I was night sweat free for a few days then they started up again (generally an hour after I fell asleep and then they would not occur the rest of the night).  I just received the results a few days ago and all were negative.  My doctor diagnosed me with prostatitis.  He said that my night sweats were the result of the prostatitis and anxiety 90% sure not HIV.

I have not had any night sweats since I got the results but, now at the month point I am still fatigued.  The burning in my genitals has mostly subsided.  I have also developed mild oral candidiasis and my lymph nodes are swellen.  My question is could these symptoms have been caused by the combination of medications, prostatitis, and anxiety or is this acute retroviral syndrome?

My 10 1/2 week antibody test came back negative.

I learned a valuable lesson and want to send a message to all the "Worried Well" out there.  I had every so called symptom in the book of primary HIV infection.  Extreme stress, anexity, worry, guilt and any little virus can produce these symptoms.  Trust your doctors and the test results.  They are the experts, not you.  Don't try to diagnose yourself by surfing the web.  When the veteran bloggers on this site say "zero" risk and symptoms mean nothing, believe them!  I drove myself insane and literally made myself sick for 3 months and for what?

Be safe, take care and God bless!

Not trying to arguee, just trying to recive an explanation.

All test were negative and my RNA-PCR test came back with no detectable viral load.  My lymph nodes are finally starting to subside at week 7 post the event but, my oral thrush hasn't gone away (4 weeks now).  I went to my dentist because several mouth sores appeared and he prescribed anit-fungal lozenge.  It seems to be working but, there is still a thin white plaque on my posterior tongue that bleeds when I brush it.  I have been experiencing mono like sypmptoms with terrible muscle pains and spasms all over my body and extreme fatigue for 5 weeks now.  I feel horrible.  I have also had 2 more light brown spots (white puffy in the center) appear on my abdomen.  I haven't had any night sweats since my doctor prescribed some sleep meds but, I am still very worried.

I am seeing my doctor again in a few weeks but, he doesn't want to test me again for HIV until the 6 month mark.  Should I demand another test when I see him?

I'm not sure if that is an ARS symptom or not.  My doctor is checking me for hepatisis.  I already had my HBV vacine so, I think I am safe there.

i could be wrong but i believe that the liver has no connection with ars at all i think you have some sort of infection not associated with hiv that you need to talk to your doctor about other infections.

I am getting a second opinion.  My new doctor said my lymph nodes are extremely swollen and my liver is inflamed.  He said I have oral thrush but, believes that was due to the Cipro.  He is running a tests for mono (quick test came back negative), hepatisis, and a PCR test for HIV.  I will hear back in a week and a half.  I am having a really tough time sleeping at night.  Hopefully things turn out ok.

I hope not.  I am going to have the doctor check for Lyme Disease and Lymphoma too.  Something is wrong with me even if it isn't HIV.

I am really scared.  I could barely breath at work my lymph nodes in my neck were so swollen.  I have scheduled an appointment with another doctor to get a second opinion.  I hope and pray things turn out ok and its not HIV.  I am not sure how I would explain this to my family if it is.

I had night sweats all last night.  It made it difficult to sleep.  I also noticed this morning that I have a couple purple brownish spots one my abdomen and the other on my back.  The one on my abdomen just appeared over night and the other on back appeared about a week ago.

My armpits hurt last week (prior to the negative results).  That has subsided.  However, today the lymph nodes in my neck are swollen and makng it difficult for me to swallow.  Do you think I may have gotten a false negative by testing too soon?
