About my daughter's eye sight

by Abha1973, Sep 08, 2008 01:09AM
My daughter who is 9 years old, is myopic and her prescription increased to -7.0 recently from -5.0. Within one year she is getting a higher power glasses. How far her prescription could go. I'm very worried. She's only 9 and have got such high prescription. Until what age this number keeps increasing. Please answer my questions and I would appreciate any suggestions from your side.

Thanks.

Use the search feature and read about "progresssive myopia" or "pathologic myopia". There is no way to stop it just as if she was 6 feet tall and you didn't want her to get taller you would be powerless to help.
