Stomach problems

I am on like day 19-20 cold turkey from heavy opiate use.  I have lost in excess of 25 lbs the last time I checked.  Every time I eat it goes straight through me (gross I know) which makes me not want to eat at all....when will that ever stop...it's aweful and making me think I may develope an eatting disorder or something.

I do have alot of stress, with family, work and so forth so maybe that has alot to do with it I never thought about that.  Heavy opiate use does the opposite so I guess I'm just not use to it...this too shall pass :)
Thanks everyone :)

you know this is tough on the tummy for most...but some like me...have more tummy trouble than others during detox..i took imodium every day for quite a while...i am a "runs" type too tho when under stress...and detox is stress for sure...if i had to do something stressful all my life i would have the runs..before i gave a lecture, before i taught anexercise class back in my 20s..the runs would plague me.....ribs probably arent ur best food choices right now not baked beans..yogurt, bananas, toast..simple foods..this will pass...just cuious tho...did the people who had runs so bad during detox, also have runs during stressful times/events in their lives?

Two weeks into this I was down 25 lbs, I haven't weighed myself in a while but I know I lost more weight...I'm working hard (with exception to today crazy rain and wind) and I notice my arm muscles are getting bigger which is embarassing to me I like to look lady like lol

hey hun!! lets talk about stomach problems, lol... I'm STILL not able to go to bathroom properly, if you know what I mean and I'm on day 25!!!!!! I have to take immodium on the days that I work 'just in case' and then I don't go for 2 days usually after that, and then repeat on the issues..... so don't worry, I think it'll get bettter for both of us soon :):)

Well this is normal when detoxing. everything u eat will go right thru you, you will lose weight, your bones will hurt, you will get pissed off over ANYTHING no matter how big or how tiny. when i went thru detox i had 2 take imodium AD. it really helped. no more diahrea and very little stomach pain. these withdrawls symptoms should last a week give or take. Wish you the best of luck!!!

I don`t know if this will help but when i went cold turkey from darvecet 10-12/day for 2 yrs,After the initial shock to my system, small amounts of food were the best for me. If i ate a large portion it would sent me running to the bathroom with in 15 min of finihing. It was definetly nast!!
I hope this helped alittle.              Jesus is the man

I started with vicodine more than a few years ago...took roxy's they are a purer form of oxyis (I think less added ingredience, could be wrong however) for a little over a year with vicodine as well inbetween doses...so that's a pretty long time due to a back injury....I just got tired of chasing drugs and controlling my life so I just went cold turkey...have no desire to go back..I exersize ride bikes, walk and swim which helps with my back and eleve is my best friend ONLY when I'm in pain.  I look at food and it makes me sick. however I am bbq ribs, making baked beans, mac and cheese and I haven't decided what vegtable I'm going to cook but it doesn't even appeal to me...so, I just make myself eat and it has adverse effects on me YUCK!
Thanks for the advice I do appreciate all of it :)
God Best :)

I did have stomach problems as well but i really don't think for that long...I lost an extremely amount of weight while using, and through detox....Then it was a fight to not gain back twice as much when i felt better....Now after i had my gallbladder out , that was a whole different story...
Maybe one of the nurses can help here, I don't know what could be causing this...
good luck

Being that you mentioned heavy use, it may take some time for yourbody to get back to normal.

How much and how long were you using?

Does pepto/immodium AD help?
