Penis Size Reduction Problem

by Don24081945, Sep 24, 2008 01:27PM
About a month ago I noticed that the size of my penis had reduced by about 2 inches when erect. Also the circumfrance had reduced. At the same time I had erections often (particularly when in bed during the night) but not associated to a sexual desire. I believe that it has also reduced when not erect, but only by a small amount.
When erect it seems to feel flatter rather than rounded and particularly hard. It is a feeling that I have never had before.
I have had a blood test and it is normal.
I am very concerned with this change and whilst I am disappointed with the reduction in size my major concern is whether or there is an underlyling problem that is responsible for this condition. I believe that the penis goes erect following an inflow of blood. Could there be a blood clot or blockage?
I would appreciate your views.
Thank you.

Certainly if there is compromised blood flow to your penis it can, in the long term, affect length and girth. Usually I would expect that your erections would be initially affected. I wonder if the changes are more apparent than real. Obese individuals and those with a paunch often experience drooping of the skin of their lower abdomen with aging and this tends to make their penes appear shorter (like a sleeve pulling down over your arm). The best way to maintain your sexual functioning and avoid obstruction of the arteries is exercise, low cholesterol and cease smoking or exposure to second hand smoke if this is part of your life. Also, keep sexually active. Use it or lose it may be a reality!
Erections that occur overnight are quite normal and many men awaken with an erection that goes away when they urinate.

Thank you for your response. The change in length is most definately real (as confirmed by my wife). I have lost approx' 1.5 to 2 inches in length.I have no paunch, I am fit, play golf and run regularly and do not smoke. When erect it definately feels harder than before, which would I presume intimate that there is no compromised blood flow. Do you have any other suggestion for my situation?
Thank you.
