Effexor side effects

Hello,
I was prescribed Effexor XR 75mg. by my doctor for anxiety. I took my first dose ("one" pill) and I was having horrible side effects withn two hours. I vomited 2-3 times and was extremely dizzy, lightheaded, stomach ache for the entire day. It has now been two days and I woke up early this morning feeling alot better. A few hours later I started having the same symptoms again. Nausea, dissiness, upset stomach, tingly in my fingertips, dry mouth.
How long does it take for the symptoms to go away? I had one 75 mg. pill I wouldn't think I would have side effects this long.

You have taken the extended release version and that can stay in your system for a few days, and of course, you are very sensitive to it...I expect you will be through with your symptoms by the time you read this...tell your doctor about what happened.
