Is sterilization/hysterectomy required?

From what I’ve been reading a hysterectomy isn’t required for repair of a cystocele (prolapsed bladder) if the uterus isn’t prolapsed. Even if the uterus is slightly prolapsed there are surgeries available to suspend the uterus.
