Hyperthyroid and sleep disorder

by Sandy488, Oct 08, 2008 01:17PM
Hello, recently my wife was diagnosed with Hyperthyroid. She seems to have some sleep disorder in sleep where she gets up in sleep and sits (still in sleep). She does not remember what made her get up when I wake her up.Is this common? Thanks

This is not common in hyperthyroidism --  it may improve as the thyroid normalizes, but if it is concerning, then a sleep evaluation may be helpful.
