I also have a hypo functioning thyroid and thought for awhile something is increasingly going wrong with my heart along with my lifelong low blood pressure.  My heart was beating so hard I thought it was coming out and my pulse was usually over 100 and during almost any physical activity it was hard to breathe.  My doctor ordered a stress test, a echocardiogram and a heart monitor, all tests showed I have an excellent fast beating heart.  Not only excellent, but a previous diagnosis of a mitral valve prolapse was wrong.  The last order was to see a heart specialist and he said very quickly after reviewing the tests and testing my blood pressure in a few different positions, my heart is healthy.  The tachycardia is coming from the endocrine system probably the adrenal glands.  Today I doing the 24 hour urine test and tomorrow more blood tests.  The next specialist is in demand and depending on these test my appointment is December 5th.  If I thought if I just slowed down, I could weather the storm.  After looking at the posts my opinion is different, how dangerous is this condition?  Since physical activity is what alerted me to this condition, will my body produce the same hormones if very little activity occurs in a day?

Would test thyroid and make sure it is appropriate and adrenal overactivity is not due to the thyroid issue.  See how the testing goes as sometimes the diagnosis is not easy to make.
