Eagle's Syndrome

by Totie, Oct 08, 2008 02:20PM
I had surgery due to having sialadenitis in the righ submandibular gland. During the surgery the doctor discovered a calcified ligament and removed it along with two lymph nodes. Everything came back as bening.

What is eagle's syndrome? When i inquired about it, he could not tell me much other than the ligament had to come out because it looked very abnormal. He said it looked like the onset of eagle's syndrome. Can't find much on it. I also have a 1" mass in the pelvis area, but due to location they can not biopsy it. The mass looks calcified according to the ct scan and mri results. We are basically just going to watch for growth and go from there.
