When will this virus leave my body :( I feel horrible. For the first 4-5 days of being extremely dizzy I had no other symptoms. Now i feel really sick in the belly and my toilet habits have changed. I got told it a virus thats going around.. but it has lasted for so long. Panadol hasnt cured it... Its going to have to run tis course which *****!

Has anyone else had this. I live in sunny Queensland Australia.
WHat can I do to help with my yukky feelings.. All I have been doing is having my pets around, drinking water, sleeping, watchnig tv and coming on the internet. :( xx Thanks in advance

Hello,

Without examination it is very difficult to confirm a diagnosis, but some of the possibilities for your symptoms are gastroenteritis and dehydration. Drink plenty of water as dehydration can lead to electrolyte imbalance which in turn can lead to low BP and hence dizziness.

Hypoglycemia, anemia, infections, endocrine disorders like thyroid, adrenal glands, and pituitary gland disorders can also lead to dizziness and nausea. What about your last menstrual periods.Did you get them as regular or did you skip them.Your symptoms can also be early symptoms of pregnancy. If you missed your last periods, pls get a home based urine for pregnancy test done.

If it is a viral gastroenteritis,it should go on its own just with supportive treatment, but if it is bacterial one then  specific antibiotics may be needed.A physician’s consultation to rule out these possibilities will be the best.

Hope it helps. Take care and pls let me know what your doctor says.In case you have any additional queries, pls let me know.

Thankyou for your reply.
So it first started off me just randomly feeling  dizzy after a shower. I had no other symptons untill today really.. where I felt sick in the belly and went to the toilet different. but not dhiarrea. A couple years ago the doctor thought I might have a problem with my thyroid. I have also had glandular fever.. and i have pretty severe anxiety issues  because of my phobia of ......spewing up. Ahhhhh

My periods have been normal. I never skip them. I also just got off of a birth  control pill called YASMIN. Would not reccomentd it. And for nearly four weeks now ive been on my new pill levlen ed. Im thinking this silly virus will have to run its course. Because ive even done ear candle n steam (sinus) and nothign really helped much.

I thought about going to the doctor, but changed my mind on waisting money and for them to tell me what I probabyl already know....?
Thanks Kindd :)
