Vision clearity

I am very thankful for this site. As of the past 3 weeks my vision doesn't seem right. I had a complete blood test and an eye exam by an optomotrist 2 weeks ago. The optomotrist told me I was farsighted and updated my prescription, I have been wearing glasses for about 3 years. Yet, the computer still seems a little off or dim to me. I do work on the computer most of the day. I am very concerned that I have MS or some other autoimmune or nerve disease. My doctors think I am being a hypochondrac because they didn't seen anything wrong on the eye exam. I went back last week cause the computer still isn't clear so she gave me a prescription for computer glasses.....I'm only 35 years old. What do you think is going on? I'm concerned. She told me my eyes were dry  so I use drops, but they don't seem to help. I was on Lexapro but have been off for almost 2 weeks. I read that Lexapro can cause blurry vision, but I am off so I thought this would go away. Any help you can provide is MUCH appreciated.

If your vision far away is good and reading is good but the computer is blurry then that is not a sign of disease and you should get these computer glasses.

sorry, i meant to say i saw the optomologist in February and the optometrist three weeks ago. neither found anything wrong. said i need computer glasses, but haven't gotten them yet. i'm scared though cause the computer just doesn't seem clear.

Hi Dr. Hagan,

I saw an Optometrist in February. The only appointment I could get into was with the Optometrist, but my MD said that if the optometrist found anything wrong she would  send me to an Ophthalmologist. I'm really scard, but my doctor won't refer me on any further because the optometrist said she found nothing wrong with my eyes and that they looked healthy. I noticed this mostly on the computer....Please let me know what you think.

Lose the optometrist and see an Eye MD ophthalmologist. Find one near you at www.aao.org or ask you medical MD to refer you. I think you might be headed down the wrong path. You need a physician.
