There can be other reasons -- and not the dirty one that you and me (we old people) think .... as "BAD"  OR "ABNORMAL" ----- if you child touches you in a different way THAT YOU FEEL - there is something wrong with your upbringing.

He, may have memories of the past .... I am not talking about re-incarnation ------
that memory might be a reason why he wants to touch his mom --- LET HIM --- IN FACT HUG HIM GIVE HIM ALL YOUR LOVE ...

To take care of a child, sacrifice, ETC. ETC. is one thing - BUT TO UNDERSTAND THE CHILD IS COMPLETELY SOMETHING ELSE!! what is wrong with you American parents??????

I cannot find that discussion anywhere! I've looked and looked and it seems like it's disappeared off the face of medhelp. How weird! Anyway, it was about a little boy whose dad was in the military, and his dad was worried about the boy being "too close" to mom. I didn't know there was such a thing in such a young child. I believe it was his stepdad, but I can't recall. I pointed out that the child might be afraid that the dad might not come back from the military is clinging to mom for dear life and to let him give her all the attention he wanted.

Not knowing what your talking about limits what I can reply to but... I would guess that it has to do with the cult like religious waccos that set the moral tone for our country where breast feeding is immoral, bottle feeding preferred and it is normal to watch hack & slash movies with the whole family but nudity is verboten.

Criticizing people will get you NOWHERE on this board and if you ever need any help in the future, I hope you keep that in mind. No one in this forum is perfect (yes, not even YOU), we are here to help others and to be helped, NOT to be criticized.  I was a part of that discussion and absolutely NO ONE made it out to be worse than it was. People parent different ways so let's just leave our negativity to ourselves.

Excuse me, I doubt very much that myself or any America Parent I know would consider a child touching their parent would be dirty, please enlarge on what you mean by 'touching".
