Broke VS. Cataracts???

Main Central vein Occlusion....
Medicare  will pay for steroid injections.....but this promises cataracts and eye drops, and it will take quite a while for steroid injections to work.
Avastin injections are NOT covered by Medicare and cost $290 each....works faster eliminating edema, but is still fairly new.

I am 49, on a fixed income, have 2 children and 2 grandchildren in my care from ages 12 to 1 Yr.. and really don't know what is the BEST choice to make.  I want to/have to see to take care of the children and vision is a priceless thing.

Can you please advise me the BEST course of treatment?

Many Thanks,   Lynn in Alabama

If you see a qualified retina Eye MD specialist and he/she says both are acceptable if it were me I would go with avastin.   You can always get a second opinion.
