How to get rid of the darkness between my thighs

by NerissaP, Feb 26, 2007 12:00AM
Hi, I am a 21 year old East Indian female with an embarassing skin problem. There are dark areas between my thighs which restrained me from ever wearing a bathing suit or short pants and also made wait until I was married to have sex. I don't think it's an infection because it does not physically bother me and my mom has the same problem too. But I want to know is there any solution to my skin discoloration?

Well, I would not really lay bets this is it, but look at the description and pics anyway and see if it helps:

Hi,

What is your age? A clinical examination would be required to answer all your queries.

The skin in the regions you mention is normally dark as compared to skin elsewhere.

Do you have any other associated symptoms of itching, rash , etc.

It would not be advisable to scrub the area too hard as this would irritate the skin. You should try to avoid sweat collection in the areas, keep the areas clean, maintain good personal hygiene, wear lose comfortable clothes. Apply calamine lotion at the sites.

Consult a skin specialist for your complaints and discuss whether a demyleininzing agent would help in your case. You could also discuss about microdermabrasion and whether it would help in your case.

Let us know about how you are doing and if you have any other doubts.

Post us about what your doctor advises.

Regards.
