Rosacea and Acquired Cold Urticaria -- link?

by EmaSue, Mar 04, 2007 12:00AM
I have been struggling with rosacea for 5+ years.  As of two months ago, I also now have Acquired Cold Urticaria.  It now being winter, my face feels very tender and sensitive from the combination of these two conditions.  I do my best to protect my face, but...

Does anyone know of a link between the two?  Or is their evidence that people with one are prone to the other? It just seems so strange to me....

I am in Indiana, if anyone sees a dermatologist who knows his/her stuff about rosacea treatments and truly cares.

Thanks!

Hi,

From what you describe this could be cold urticaria. I suggest you read up the following link -

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chronic_cold_urticaria

Let us know if you need any further information and post us about how you are doing.

It would be advisable to consult your doctor if the lesions persist.

Regards.
