Pins and needles after virus

by GYM_FAN, Apr 09, 2007 12:00AM
I recently had a bout with the flu... I had a fever of 103, body aches, sweating, freezing, etc... This lasted for about a week. Halfway through the week I woke one mroning to my back feeling as though it was on fire. It was that pins and needles feeling, only extremely intense... I jumped out of bed and took off my shirt, and as soon as the cooler air began to hit me the pain went away. This has been happening now for the last 3 days... every time i get "hot" I get extremely intense pain on my back.. it feels like it is just the skin that is burning. For example. I live where it is fairly cold this time of year. I was out puping gas the other night, when I walked into the store the difference in tempature made me heat up quickly under my jacket... all of a sudden I got a radiating burning feeling in my back, like being electrocuted... just because it was hot in the store and I was heating up and getting hot.
Has anyone heard of this? Please help.

Did you ever get results for this? I am searching the forum and have the exact same problem, but was upset to find no response here to your concern.

have they tried any medications for the symptoms?
I have "unexplained pins and needles all over" that come on as  the day ends.
I hve been taking lyrica and it works really well.....
excpet I have adverse reaction...of it is almost exactly like smoking marijuana...
but, until I find a cause/cure, lyrica is buying me time.
It completely eradicates the burning, stinging, prickling, stabbing and all other levels of the pain.
