if only the igm was + then you probably don't even have hsv2. the igm test should've never been drawn on you. Plenty of prior posts here on why the igm herpes test isn't worthwhile.
canker sores are not herpes.

I had never been test for herpes before. I just got tested because I had a couple of cankers in my mouth and I think my doctor was just looking to 'clear my mind' by doing a herpes test. But, it did come back igm+ igg- ... though I feel like I've been fighting off a virus for a while (diarrhea, mostly). I've not had any classic symptoms.. no external bumps or anything.
Chances are good that you had hsv2 before this and never knew it. A + blood test a month into things could go either way - a newly acquired infection or a previous infection. not many folks contract hsv2 orally though for this to be hsv2 orally. were you ever blood tested for herpes before?
A lump in your throat doesn't sound like oral herpes either.
You should continue to follow up on this with your provider.

I performed oral on a man. I've felt like I have a 'lump' in my throat that I can't swallow and had a couple of small clear-fluid filled bubbles on the back of my throat. That is why I was tested for herpes. I told the Dr I had all this diarrhea but she didn't seem to think it was a concern. I did have a full STD screening and everything else came back clean (HIV neg, etc). I wondered if ghonorrea (sp) could be the culprit, but the Doctor said that wasn't likely and that the omnicef she put me on would have taken care of that regardless.
I'm just very scared/worried what might be wrong with me, herpes or not.
It's very unlikely that you contracted hsv2 from oral sex. Did you perform oral on a man or did a man perform oral you on?
You need to follow up on these new symptoms with your provider. these are not herpes related.
