If you have the problem, I have found with my animals, washing with Prell dishwashing liquid will kill them. You can try a shampoo with tar first to see if it will kill them and use it daily til you know the eggs are no more. If you have animals in your house get Frontline Plus to apply on them. It will kill the eggs and fleas. Do not wash your pet for atleast 72 hrs before or after application or it will not work, and don't allow them to get wet. They lay eggs so I would go on line to find the hatching time and wash my hair in a time period to cover it. Dust your yard with Seven Dust or get Spectracide liquid. Be sure the ground is dry before you allow pets on it. Seven Dust only works as long as the ground is dry, so Spectricide, I found is best. You can take Zertex or Benedryl to help relieve your itching. Flea bites itch for quite a while after they bite. RJ

Hi,

Once the flea reaches adulthood its primary goal is to find blood , adult fleas must feed on blood in order to reproduce. The so-called Human flea (Pulex irritans) has a wide host spectrum. Some people and animals suffer allergic reactions to flea saliva resulting in rashes. Flea bites generally result in the formation of a slightly-raised swollen itching spot with a single puncture point at the center. The bites often appear in clusters or lines of two bites, and can remain itchy and inflamed for up to several weeks afterwards. Fleas can also lead to hair loss as a result of frequent scratching and biting by the animal, and can cause anemia in extreme cases..

Take care and regards.
