Attention all LADIES...lets talk PMS with hypothyroidism!

Okay, lets get some feedback from everyone (ladies)lol, on how your cycles have become with PMS. I have pms for the first time in my life and when I go hypo I get it BAD!
I get panicky, nervous, headaches with vision disturbance right between the eyes, mood swings between days 14-18 and then the week of my period bad cramps and dizziness and low blood pressure.
Anyone else feel really wacky with symptoms? I know the more off your numbers the worse the symptoms. Especially when we are going through perimenopause already....Uuuugh! Someone give us women a break!!  :)  :)

See this very large knife in my hand? No-body move for the next few days and you all shall live,. and keep your testicles, or other bodily parts as is of your gender. I am supposedly hyper but my Free T4 shows otherwise, I have ALWAYS had severe PMS..take two evening primrose oil tablets a day all month...they only take the slight edge off.
Hyper hypo, makes no difference to me...well, lately it has..staying hyper this year (at doctor's request till we figure out some other stuff...sigh.....) has certainly added to the migraines, the bitchiness, the teariness, the fluid retention, oh you know what the list looks like!
Cheers...now where did I put that chainsaw...hmmmm?

I have had pms and stress, always tired and brain foggy, doc told me get more sleep, and only thing I can take for pms was anti depressants. Now I have been told I;ve an underactive thyroid and being tested again in 6 weeks. I;m hoping this will be something they can treat and hoping moods and tiredness will cease. And my cholesterol will go down. Ive been dieting with little weight loss and cholesterol is even higher even though I eat lots of veg fruit and dont eat a lot of sugar. I was beginning to feel like a hyperchondriac. I've been told I've got chronic sinusitis, ankylosing spondalitis, hemochromotosis, pre diabetes, and now this.

This was my major problem/complaint for 2 yrs straight and was on Ativan 3 days a month for severe PMS that was not good to live with. We tried Zoloft to no good cause and finally I realized it was 3 days a month only and the Ativan worked .. then get this ... once my TSH went to controlled levels ( 1.8 or >) it WENT AWAY COMPLETELY like overnight and has NEVER ret'd since I'm on Synthroid now ... so all my docs were amazed yet this is the truth and now they agree that the 2.8 nat'l TSH level for me was clinical hypothyroid and caused the PMS as well as the severe constipation which magically went away, too, after 2 yrs of Miralax scripted by a GI, and a colonoscopy!

Helloooooooo back at ya!! I had my annual today and she said.....Oh my yes your thyroid will completely mess with your cycle and cause bad pms!! Even though I am on the pill to cycle, I think I am going to do progesterone longer this coming month. I don't know if it will help with my levels the way they are.
I had been on increase of 90mgs for 2 weeks before that blood draw....now it has been 3. I am going to go back in for bloodwork in 2 weeks....that will give me 5 weeks on 90. I think i am going to end up increasing again......dragging butt.......uuugh!
I don't know how you can get up at 3am ....yuck!
Who do we know here that can figure out difficult lab results???
My daughter wants to go sledding.....brrrrrrr......but fun. :)  Oh well, we will make sand turkeys on the beach and a FLAT sand snow man....lol.....lol

HELLLLLLLLLOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!

I was the QUEEN of PMS -

Oh Lord - How did I live!!!!!

"Can you say -  I LOVE PROGESTRONE!!"  What a God send for me.

You know...... since we talk often that I still get a bit beat tired - ( Who wouldn't though I am up at 3 the lastest and down at 9)  - but my moodiness - is definately "tamed"

Maybe this is just the down slide for you after all the med stuff you had going on.

PS - I am still stuck on your labs too!

Tell your daughter Wisconsin has 3" of snow - but it will be melted by tomorrow.

COME SLEDDING MY FRIEND - COME UP TO YANKEEVILLE!

When was the last time you had your levels checked? I just went way hypo again from the hashi's and that is why I had pms this month from he//. It will make it so much worse. Even my hot flashes were continual through the day and night! lol Thank goodness I don't get the sweats with them. My body just feels like it is burning lightly...lol   Crazy.
Totie- sounds like you have a male doctor....it sure does sound like perimenopause.
Paja- My daughter is going through puberty as I am in early menopause! It is a trip to say the least!! I just hope we don't get periods at same time....yikes!!

I haven't had any pms symptom since I started progesterone cream about 6 years ago. It also helps to balance the thyroid. It must be either USP grade or bioidentical.

I've always had PMS but it seems out of control now.  Last month I cried for an entire week at the stupidest things - even humorous stuff.  This month I can't seem to stop being angry and I have a lot of back pain and even more fatigue.

Noticed since RAI that I CRAVE sweets insanely as the start of my cycle approaches. Which I have never done before, usually I get a vicegrip head ache, and the headache has gone away since RAI.

On a funny side note...my daughter will be starting puberty about the time i start menopause....LOL.  I have told my son and hubby they should consider taking up residence else were for that time frame.

peace be the journey

I am 38 and I get the cramps (take Midol every 2hrs) bloating, night sweats, cranky, eat alot, bad leg aches. My doctor does not think I am premenopausal, but how else would you explain the night sweats 8 days in a row prior to menstration.

Okay, the night sweats are through out the month, not necessairly due to PMS, but that is my theory. (I have had a lot of infections and currently dealing with a complicated bladder infection).

My husband just says "yes dear", and my son stays in his room.....LOL...
