Now this....

I had a one night unprotected stand with a fairly experienced older female back in May.  4 weeks after I noticed burning during urination and about 6 weeks after I started having white discharge.  I have had this discharge ever since and just in the past 3 weeks I noticed swollen neck glands, one swollen groin gland and an ongoing ear ache.  Do you think the glands are responding to the infection in my body?  What about the ear aches?

I have taken a 10 day dose of omnicef in the past 2 months but the discharge remains.  I am scared to test knowing I gave my wife something.  I am such an idiot.

Thanks for any insight or comments.

It might cause the glands in your groin to swell.  I'm not sure I've ever seen anyone with neck glands swollen from genital gonorrhea or chlamydia.

AJ,

I will get tested and treated.   AQJ, in your experience have you ever seen swollen nodes with Chlamydia or Gonorrhea 5 months out from possible exposure?  Would these bacteria cause swollen nodes?  Thanks

Self treating is never a good idea, and I know you are scared to test, but I'd be more afraid that whatever you have could cause long term problems in your wife if its left untreated.

You have let fear stand in the way of reason, and with this fear, your wife could be more harmed than if you had gotten tested and treated back in May.

Ear aches aren't from stds, but if your neck glands are swollen, that might cause an ear ache.  I think you need to just man up, so to speak, and get this taken care of.  You've let it go long enough - too long really.
