MY TSH IS 0.04 AND FREE T3 22.4 AND FREE T4 3.8 ALSO JUST K=N OW TESTING FOR TSI DONT KNOW RESULTS YET
I have no symptoms of being hyper, unfortuntatly my doctor put me on a high dose of amour thyroid last summer after converting from synthroid, anyways, doctor wanted to reduce my meds from 90 to 75, I did it and I gained 6 lbs in a week, ugh, what is the complications if my TSH is .01 with no symptoms.
Thank you very much for your imput. I am very sick, have all the possible symptoms, had a storm on 2/2. Thyroid meds were making me feel worse, muscle pain, brain fog, blurred vision, difficulty breathing, chest pain, fatigue, and so on. My doctor suggested to stop the meds and see how I feel. I think I feel better without them, but the most interesting fact is that they suspected an embolism of the carotid artery and I had a CAT Scan with contrast. Two hours after the contrast, I became a totally different person, I got strength, no more chest pain, breathing normally, in other words my own self again. It feels like my body returned to normal. However, my doctor warned me that once the dye is out of my system, I will become very sick again. I will start RAI in threee weeks.
I wish I could just go and have the IV re-infused every 2-3 weeks and feel like this.
Your Doctor should have you on an anti-thyroid medication and also beta blockers (to slow the heart and also bring down the T3 (triiodothyroninerate) which is causing all the symptoms and most probably causing T3 Toxycosis (T3 level too high).
He/She should also be running antibody tests to check you for Graves Disease.
I was hesitant at taking large doses of beta Blockers but in the end, it was either that or run into trouble with Atrial Fibrillation which I eventually did anyway.
Ask your Doctor for a beta blocker prescription and some meds to lower the Ft3 and FT4 to 'block' the overproduction of hormones with the thyroid.
Once on these, you will start to feel a lot better.
All the best.
Are you on medication? Being hyper for too long can cause heart problems, and anxiety issues. Your level needs to be brought to a more comfortable level and taking medication is the way to do that.
