How is that symptom related to my throat reflux?

As I mentioned I have reflux affecting my throat (laryngolpharyngol reflux). One of my symptoms was a sensation something around my adam's apple which caused by to constantly clear my throat. The other symptom I have is that I have a sensation that my uvula is sticking at the back of my throat and that always causes me to push my tongue back and to put the uvula in different positions. After starting on Nexium 40mg, after only one month both symptoms improved a lot, but ever since month 3 my condition worsened and I'm now on Nexium 80mg which worked in the beginning but now it's starting to slack off again, I'm 6 months into treatment now. My ENT diagnosed me with reflux with a laryngoscopy, but I'm curious how is that symptoms with the uvula related with reflux, although it did improve? I have no visible irritation at the back of my throat (nasopharynx) and my uvula is the right size although I have this weird sensation. Could it that the mucuous membrane that is behind the soft palate is irriated and causing this?

but i get the same sensation in my throat, around my adam's apple, that causes me to clear my throat. i also have trouble swallowing food. it's not that it comes back up; it just can't go down, sometimes. i think that, too, has something to do with post nasal drip rather than acid reflux, but what do i know?
i've been taking prilosec, daily, and that seems to do the trick. but there's something about the role my uvula played that makes me wonder if it contributed to my asthma and reflux.
