Red Blotches Randomly Appearing

I have these red blotches around the base of my neck and on my face too. They are more noticeable when I wake up but somewhat go away as the day goes on. I recently visited a dermatologist that said it could be a number of different things. All I know is they werent there a while back, and I cant figure out what is causing it. We thought it could possibly be my gold necklace being fake, but I took it off and still no help. I also got it tested to see if it could have been the culprit but it was real gold. My skin is very fair so you notice any blemishes easily. What could these red areas be? They arent like a rash, nor are they raised at all its like its under the skin. Any suggestions to what this could be and how to make them go away? Its not like huge areas that are all red, rather its several red blots in the vicinity of each other. Any guesses? Also I have been tested like 3 times in the last year for fear it could be something like HIV or something crazy, but im clean as a whistle, any help out there? Most of the blotches are right where you would unbutton your shirt, right on the base of neck. Please help someone.

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
Hello,
I cannot confirm anything without examination but it can be due to contact dermatitis or pityriasis versicolor. Treatment involves topical and oral antifungal medicines. Most cases of fungal infections respond to over-the-counter products, which contain any of several basic ingredients: miconazole, tolnaftate, terbinafine, ketaconazole and clotrimazole. You can consult a pharmacist and get any cream or lotion containing these ingredients. Some of them are Selsun, Lamisil, Monistat derm, Mycelex, and Nizoral. If the symptoms persist then please consult a dermatologist.

I hope it helps. Take care and please do keep me posted in case you have any additional doubts. Kind regards.

I went to the Dr about this awhile back. I cant remember what he called it, but he had me put Seltzon Blue on it before bed and then rinse it off in the shower in the morning. It worked like a charm after just a few days. It came back again this year, and I had to take an antibiotic to get rid of this time, but try the seltzon blue.
