small itchy bumps

For the past week and a half i have been noticing small itchy red bumps appearing on my skin it started only on my wrist then spred to the back of my legs, my arms, underarms and neck.. it seems like every day there are more and more and they become more itchy i don't think any think in my lifestyle has changed ex.. eating habits laundry soap, body wash etc... i don't know what is causing them althought it started the day i found out i had a virus in my intestine and was really sick... what is wrong with me?

also, have you been tested for mrsa? you said you had a virus in your intestine- sometimes the bacteria that cause stomach issues can cause prurigo.

i have been getting strange red itchy bumps that are similar to blisters on my arms and the back of my neck for over a year now...i recently found out it is prurigo nodularis. but the symptoms sound similar...the bumps go away (for the most part, there is always a scar even if i leave them alone) and then come back somewhere else, or around the original infection. apparently they're untreatable for the most part, and stress makes them worse. wonderful.

I have the same thing except my started on my arms and like you have gotten more wide spread every day and more itchy.  I went to the doctor and he thought it was a fungus, however, I have taken the medicine for a week and still getting more bumps.  The first bumps have cleared up and more replace them in different spots.
