Pulling sensation above my heart

For about 2 months now I have been experience this strange/ uncomfortable pulling sensation above my heart.  Nothing seems to trigger this sensation or make it subside.  My doctor ordered a holter monitor/ which did not show any arrythmias.  The doctor therefore blew it off and does not believe that anything else could be causing this.  Does anyone have any idea what this could be?

This discussion is related to non cardiac chest wall pain.

Sorry, I got mixed up; I thought cedes made the comment about the esphagitis.  It was Love90.

Sounds to me something possibly going on muscular; like a pectoris muscle pull or tear.  Definitely need to make sure the cardiac workup was thorough.  If your physician feels it is not cardiac he/she needs to be investigating other possibilities and not be "blowing it off" because you have had it for a period of time.  Cedes did mention esophagitis which has similar symptoms but usually is noticed after eating meals, with
heavy lifting activity, etc.  I would be trying to find someone interested in helping you; i.e. a good internist if you can.

Are you taking any otc medication for the problem now?
