I need help

I recently had unprotected oral sex with a guy I am friends with. I asked him if he had ever had an std or if any of his partners did. He said no and I trusted him (bad decision not to use a condom anyway I know). But it has been 3 days since it happened and my throat has been dry and I am constantly swallowing to make it not be. I noticed today that I have these small bumps on the back of my tongue and that that area of my tongue is white. I also have that feeling of nasal dripping in the back of my throat. I made an appointment with my doctor to get tested but I am so afraid that I have contracted something.

My question is: From the symptoms I'm describing does it sound like I have an contracted an oral std? I just want to know so I can prepare myself for when I go to the doctor. Also, how does the doctor test for oral stds?

Oral gonorrhea would be the only possibility from any kind of symptoms that close to the exposure. But most of the time oral gonorrhea does not show symptoms and if it did a sore throat would be it.
I would not worry about an oral sex, they are difficult to get. If you noticed any sores on his penis then that might be something, but without that it's probably a cold.

Oral std is checked for by a throat swab and might take 1 week to show up in a test. The other possibilities from oral sex is herpes and syphilis. Syphilis is rare in developed countries and herpes without sore the chance is small. A blood test is run for syphilis and herpes but those take 6 weeks and 4 months to be found.
