It's me again-end stage

I have written to you previously....<<<<<<<<<<<
I am a R.N. , whose husband has been diagnosed with Hep C acquired from blood transfusion approx 12 yrs ago. He had had surgery then for throbosis--amputation of right toes etc. at that time he had anticardiolipid enzymes and phospholipid synd.
: He had been on heparin sq for yrs. Also had been told he had lupus or lupus like antibodies.His liver scans show End Stage Liver, severe hepatacellular disease-cirrhosis. He has been seen by the drs at univ of Miami.>>>>>>>...my husband is in end stage liver(no transplant list acceptable)...recently he has had a tips shunt placed due to continual fluid in his chest cavity The shunt seems to be working because his lungs have stayed clearer.
Now he remains on diuretics, his lower extremities are edematous and of very poor color. And he is on lactulose for encephalopathy. His latest labs are >>alb 1.7 tbili 3.6 alk phos 141 alt51 (previously >100) AST 93 PT 18.0 ammonia 70...he currently sleeps 80% of the day.
Our dr tells us with the steady decline of his lab values and physical condition that we can expect a decline in 3-6 months leading to death...Do these values sound that bad to you? What can I expect in the days to come?
