Info on liver stem cell transplant to cure hep - help!

Does anyone have latest info on transplanting by injection liver stem cells into liver to cure hep. My best friend has been on transplant list it seems like forever and I don't know how long she can last. I am searching medical journals and web sites and a lot looks promising and close but nothing definite for today. With all the research going on worldwide someone somewhere must have something - I dont't care if its in Timbuctou, if its a legitimate, medically proven treatment, she'll go. Please if anyone out there knows of anything let us know!
