I have the exact same rash

Is there a name for this condition?  I've had the same rash off and on for the past seven years now. I'm 99% sure it start after being with this girl. It used to be on both sides of my sack and under and also both innerthighs. The first year, it was itchy and ozzy in all areas I mentioned. Around 2 years later the itch around the innerthighs went away completely. A few years later one side of my sack stopped itching but still left a discoloring. It's like purple and pink. After seven years I just have one quarter sized spot on the left side of my sack that itches like crazy. I deal with it by keeping my nails really short to keep the skin intacked because I can control myself from scatching only when I'm awake. Doctors told me to keep vitamin E on the area if I feel the rash coming. And I wear jeans with a tight belt to keep my hands out of there when I sleep during a rash week. Vitamin E when it gets dry and cracked and cornstarch baby powder when it sweaty and red. I also thought it was mental but I feel it in the same area all the time.

This discussion is related to crotch rash will not go away.

I'm a 28 year old female and I've noticed a sore area around my anal area all around it. It's very sore and painful. What it seems to look like is a rash with bumps in it, but doesn't seem to make me want to itch. Just very sore and raw. What can I do about this at home?

Hello,

I cannot confirm anything without examnation but it can be intertrigo, heat rash or contact dermatitis. An intertrigo is an inflammation (rash) of the body folds. It most commonly occurs due to bacterial, viral or fungal infection. An intertrigo usually appears red and raw-looking, and may also itch, ooze, and be sore.

Pls keep the area clean and apply some topical antiseptics. Also wear loose-fitting cotton clothing and use an antibacterial soap or mild soap like dove.Avoid any kind of cosmetics.Topical zinc oxide cream like Sudocrem, Desitin are very helpful(apply with a paper towel and not directly with hands).Application of mild steroid cream like dermacort also helps. For the itching pls take some over the counter antihistaminic like benadryl or Claritin. In case the symptoms persist then antifungals may be needed.Pls consult a dermatologist in that case.

Hope it helps.Take care and pls do keep me posted in case you have any additional doubts.Kind regards.
