is it possible to be hiv negative when you have been infected with syphilis

After beign treated for a sexual tranmitted disease and eager to know what that disease could be i read a book about health and went on to read about stds.I found out that i was infected with syphilis so im concerned about my health that is why i want to know whether its possible to be HIV negative.

HIV and syphilis are two separate diseases.
