what is thickening

i have been for a check up and was told i have some thickening in the breast i had my surgery in what is this please. dose it mean my cancer will come back

What is ur ethnicity? African american women form keloids(scarring) more often than caucasian women. Maybe it is that? I agree with the other poster... it does sound like post op changes. Does not seem that your doctor is too concerned either. You will be ok dear.

i did a some swelling after surgery, but nothing to large, at my first check up at 2 weeks after surgery nothing was mentioned about thickening, could this just happen. the thickening is just under the scar. i have not yet had any ultrasound i go back to the clinic in december.
