I was Dx with HVC type 1a... Liver biopsy..stage 2 fibrosis. viral count 8million.  Went thru 48 weeks pegasus tx.  I am 51yoa.  6 months after tx was found to have a svr... what boat am I in now?  The pegasus was brutal..along with the nupagen every 3 weeks... I know I am lucky to be a responder.  I  know a girl im crazy about,  but I dont know what to tell her about all this...has anyone had a similar problem? if so what did you do?Im afraid she will not understand , or be educated on this.  I am lost, and sick about this.

Posted on the other forum about this.

If you don't have it you don't have it.  But...usually we are tested for longer than six months to see if we relapsed however after 6 months your chances are pretty darn good that you just don't have it anymore.

Yes Bliss,,,,you don't have hep now and 6 months out of tx,,,,your odds are very high that you completed your tx with success!  Check again at the year mark but looks like made it out of the woods ok!   Good Luck!

COPDOWN --- check it out.

Nice to meet you - welcome to the forum...

If you need assistance  - come talk to us.

I don't know what you mean by being told to "GO HOME TO SUFFER AND DIE" if you cleared the virus.

Could you post more info please?

I'm in DPS myself - dispatch side... But chit chat with me - let's see what we can figure out. No one desrves to feel like they can't get any help.

WHAT I MENT THAT SOME STATE EMPLOYEES ARE NOT BRAIN DOCTORS AS I AM NOT BUT THE SILENCE FROM THE RISK MANAGMENT OFFICE FOR THE STATE OF GEORGIA IS TO THEIR BENEFIT TO LET A PUBLIC SAFETY EMPLOYEE USE THEIR HEALTH INS TO TAKE CARE OF A JOB RELATED PROBLEM. MOST PHYSICALS DONE FOR ANY GOVERNMENT EMPLOYMENT CHECKS VIRAL AND SEROLIGY TO MAKE SURE THAT THE NEW EMPLOYEE WILL NOT INFECT ONY ONE ELSE AND COST THE EMPLOYER A LAW SUIT BECAUSE OF THEIR KNOLEDGE.AGAIN HOW MANY HAVE IN THE PAST BEEN TOLD TO GO HOME AND DIE.WE NEED TO MAKE A NOISE TO GET HELP FOR ALL!!!!! I AM NOT A SOB AND I LOVE LIFE AND WANT TO DO MY BEST FOR MY FELLOW MAN. I LIKE THE LITTLE THINGS AND CAN BE A SOFTY. NATURE IS GODS BLESSING TO ALL OF US THAT IS WHY I CHOSE TO RETIRE TO THE MOUNTAINS OF NORTH GEORGIA. LOVE THE SOLITUDE AFTER SO MANY YEARS OF DEALING WITH BAD PEOPEL AND OTHER THINGS. THANKS FOR BEING THERE.!!! SAM
