What is the difference between a defibrillator and a fibrilator?
Which one is attached to the heart vessels to shock the heart, if the heart should suddenly stop?

Fibrillator - This is an instrument for stopping the heart prior to cardiac surgery. This device puts the heart into ventricular fibrillation by electrical stimulation of the heart.

Defibrillator - An electrical device used stop fibrillation of the heart muscle and restore normal sinus rhythm.
