Hi,
By the time I read this your surgery is over, and I hope you are doing great!!!!
I am scheduled for the same surgery you had on August 14 and although I can not offer you any suggestions, I am hoping that you can help me with the same questions that you asked.  I am very worried also about the same things that bothered you.
Thanks

Hi, In February I had a extended Tummy Tuck as well as a breast reduction done.  Regarding the pain for me it wasn't that bad, just very uncomfortable once they took off the plasters etc. I battled to walk upstraight. It is 6 months now and I am still struggling sometimes with some pain when I cough etc. I dont know if it is normal, because everybody with whom I talked 2 say that they are ok, but they only had the mini TT. I am a big woman whereas they are tiny ones. I did not have the  lipo but am thinking of going for it as my hips look huge to me. Was that sore for u ? The breast reduction was not sore at all. although the recovery time is long and the scars are very extensive. I am not that young anymore(47) so I will not walk around in a bikini so it does not bother me that much, but still it is not a pretty sight.
For nematode  I just wanted to say yes I will do it again. For the pain there is nice painkillers on the market and you dont need to suffer. I went back to work after 4 weeks which was more than enough.
Just make sure that you dont have a cold and dont need to cough.

hi. I read your stories. I myself am interested in a tummy tuck procedure. I have 2 kids and im 23 and god my abdomen looks ugly to me. My questions are, what does it feel like when they put you to sleep? If the procedure lasted 2 hours, did you feel the length of time or did it feel like 5 min or so? And do they do special tests on you before the surgey to make sure your health is good? If so what tests? (i heard some doctors do tests before surgery). And lastly, does anyone know if gastritis is a health issue for a tummy tuck? Thanks!

Hey there, I've just passed my 5th day after an extended tummy tuck.  I had a blissful contraption called a pain pump that lasted from Monday until Thursday, and it numbed the site.  I'm not going to lie, it hurts, but the most uncomfortable part of it, is the tightness.  I almost feel a bit clausterphobic in my own skin.  It's getting easier to get around now, so I'm happy about that!  I had 3 very large babies with c sections for all, so I had to do this for me.  Especially after losing over a hundred pounds too.  All in all, I would definitely do it again.  Note, do not cough, sneeze, laugh, choke or throw up in the first week....it hurts like hades!  My doctor made sure I was in excellent health, and I have IBS, but it didn't hinder anything.  He would not do the surgery if I was a smoker though.  Thankfully I never took that up!  I'm 37 by the way, so bikini's are out for me too, but thankfully my bum in front is now gone!!  Good luck to anyone undergoing this!
