eye pressure feeling, morning

by jojst, Jul 11, 2007 04:46PM

I had Lasik surgery several months ago (in January) and now find myself constantly waking up in the morning feeling a pressure/pain in my eyes. Feels like someone punched both of my eyes. Like a stiffness, pressure, pain.

This pain persists for most of the day and during the night. This has been going on for several months. Eye doctors see my eyes as healthy. MRI's, Cat Scans, dilation of the eyes, etc all turn out fine, but the pain is there.

No pain reliever makes the pain go away.  Eye drops don't work either.

Can this have nothing to do with my eyes at all? What should I be researching?

I am planning on getting an enhancement on my right eye because it is about -2.50. I am also going to "visual therapy" at the moment, but the pain persists.

any comments on this situation would be of great help, thanks!

I would consult a neuro-ophthalmologist or a neurologist. I would expect no improvement with "visual therapy".
