If you feel like there’s always something keeping you from getting a good night’s sleep (other than that barking dog next door or your 6 a.m. alarm), you’re not alone. Some 50 to 70 million Americans suffer from a sleep disorder, according to the Centers for Disease Control.
“Overall, sleep disorders are very common — there are approximately 80 types of sleep disorders,” said Harneet Walia, MD, of the Center for Sleep Disorders at the Cleveland Clinic Neurological Institute.
