What is busulfan?

Generic Name: busulfan
Other Brand Names: Busulfex, Myleran
Busulfan is a cancer (antineoplastic) medication. Busulfan interferes with the growth of cancer cells and slows their growth and spread in the body.
Busulfan is used to treat chronic myelogenous leukemia (a type of blood cancer).
Busulfan may also be used for purposes other than those listed in this medication guide.
