What is Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis?
Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis, or ALS, is a disease of the nerve cells in the brain and spinal cord that are responsible for voluntary muscle movement.
ALS is also known as Lou Gehrig's disease.
