Uses: FDA has requested that manufacturers voluntarily withdraw propoxyphene-containing medications from the US and Canadian markets due to several problems with safety, and its limited effectiveness. This medication is used to help relieve mild to moderate pain. Propoxyphene belongs to a class of drugs known as narcotic (opiate) analgesics. It works in the brain to change how your body feels and responds to pain.
