Dexamethasone is in a class of drugs called steroids. Dexamethasone prevents the release of
substances in the body that cause inflammation.
Dexamethasone is used to treat many different conditions such as allergic disorders, skin
conditions, ulcerative colitis, arthritis, lupus, psoriasis, or breathing disorders.
