i have had this boot on for about 4-5 months and i am so sick and tired of missing all of my soccer practices and games. it all started when i was experiencing pain while playing, i cooled down and went to the doctors to check it out- they prescribed it as a shin splint, so i just practiced less intensely. But as the pain kept getting worse i eventually couldn't walk. i went to a doctor on crutches and she said i had Severs disease(its not a disease its just called that), were your growth plate is off and moving. So i was on crutches but when i came back i still couldn't take the boot off because it was to painful to walk normally. So I was then tooken to the next level- she diagnosed me with RSD witch can be seen as a symptom when your foot is discolored. But the reason it was discolered was because i was wearing a polka dotted sock. This was actually funny in a scary way that the doctor couldn't tell the difference from disease or sock. Anyways i went into intensive therapy for about a month and we thought o no what if its just making it worse- since it wasn't getting better. So we stopped the therapy and its now getting better- but so slowly im scared it might be years untill i can kick a soccer ball again like i did before. We took an MRI but the results havn't come back in. we also took an X-ray and they found either a bone spur or small fracture- or nothing.. but they are not sure. if anyone has been through the same thing i would love to hear from you since this has been an ongoing problem. thank you so much.
