Travel

It has been almost 2 years since I was diagnosed with stage 1 low malignant potential ovarian cancer.  I have had a CT scan twice now with no return of cancer.  I am very thankful to God and for everyone who prayed for me.  My husband and I decided to retire last summer so that we can travel while we still have our health.
We are taking our children and 2 granddaughters on a cruise from April 1 to April 8 (6 days from now) and we are very excited.  We have an Alaskian cruise booked for this September too.  I sure hope everyone is in good health and please enjoy the spring/summer.  Hugs, Gina3754

ct scan

It's been almost 1 year since I found out that I had ovarian cancer.  I am so thankful that it was found early at stage 1 and I did not require chemo or radiation.  I had my first CT scan in November and everything looked good.  I am hoping and praying that the next few years will continue to show no cancer in my CT scans.  Hope all my friends on MedHelp are doing well with their health and hugs to all of you.  Gina

post surgery

Hi Everyone,

I came home from the hospital yesterday and it feels so good to be home.  The doctor found no cancer in my omentum, lymph nodes and appendix.  He did find a piece of the left cancerous ovary that the first doctor missed.  He said no chemo needed.  Thank you all so much for your prayers.

Love, Gina

16 1/2 hours before surgery

I was still concerned that I have not had a BM yesterday or today after taking all of those prescription laxative pills.  I called my surgeon and he was really surprised too and told me to run to the drugstore and pick up a bottle of Magnesium Citrate and drink it immediately.  He said that my BM's should be liquid before the surgery.  Hope this works now.  Good night everyone.
