halfway mark

Mar 01, 2014 - 0 comments

6 more weeks to go. Saw GI for follow up, this week, and to review Bloodwork. White cells, red cells, you name it cells, are in the toilet, but no rescue drugs this time on tx. No matter. This Dr is not an alarmist, and after all, I am still able to do my usual activities. Night pains are worse, however, so we are going to check the vital load just to see where I am at. Pain from cryoglobulemia should be getting better when the virus exits, not get worse. Land today will tell.

Looks like it spread, but sure feel better now that the topical ointment is no longer being applied.  4 weeks and it sure isn't pretty.  The itching is almost over with, though.  Hurray. I do my best to keep this stuff out of sight, but surely, hubby gets an eyeful sometimes....don't know how he deals with this little side affect of HCV. Just unbelievable.

Started with 5% topical cream on any suspicious areas and where they did the cryo on my legs.  Ulcering now and at that gross stage, but that means it's working!  STOPPED tx today. approx. 4 weeks with one good week of Madness...itch itch itch, swell, swell swell.  Can't wait to get in a bathtub again and had to stop walks with pup last week.  Couldn't put fat foot in a boot.  Well..got some knitting done.  wow.
Hopefully, once I cure the HCV, the squamous cell will also stop popping up.  ?? anybody know? Docs said outside of the blonde hair/blue eyes, the virus' attack on my immune system brought these creepy cells out to play.  Just yuck.
