Arthritis

A lot of discomfort still on the right side.  I think a lot of my pain today is from sitting around.  I took the day off from work, and it seems that things are worse from just being lazy.  I need to push through and stay active.  I have a lump on my right thigh, like a charlie horse.  Hurts like hell, but had it a few months.  I need to ask doctor about it next time I'm in.  I went out this evening, and took a fall.  I fell on that damn right side again.  As if it wasn't hurting enough, now I've aggravated it all the way down: foot, ankle, calf, knee, thigh and hip.  My knee is already swelling quite bad.  I have the feeling that I'm going to end up at the doc. tomorrow.  I should probably use the cane.  I'm not sure my right knee is supporting me like it should.  That may be why I keep falling on that side.  I'm only 40 though, I hate that my body has a mind of it's own.

My butt and hip are still bothering me on the right side.  I'm wondering if it's a result of falling on Friday.  I keep trying to stretch it out. Knee is pretty normal.  Hurts like hell, but it's livable.

Back

In a lot of pain on my right side today.  My knee is on fire, but I have very little feeling in the limb below the knee.  My foot is very cold and all I really feel is pressure.  Then starting above my knee, I have pain along the out side of hip (trochanteric bursitis??)  I pulled some exercises to check that theory, but now it extends up into the butt muscles and into the low back.  Maybe Sciatica is acting up.  Ugh, more pain than I really want to deal with tonight.  Still livable, but I don't want to go back to the shadows. The pain meds are keeping the beast under control for the moment.  Let's hope we can keep it up.

Hips and knees are pretty bad today.  It's unbearably cold outside, so that may have something to do with it.  I start my prednisone taper tomorrow.  I'm a little worried that things will get bad again.  My sed rate wasn't bad (25), so I'm not sure why I'm getting such a good response from the steroids.  It seems like the damn Celebrex should be able to keep a handle on it.  The knees are pretty angry, but it's a whole lot easier to handle the pain when your whole body isn't on fire.
